Looking north on Chester Avenue. Judging from the lack of cars and the open space this picture was probably taken in the 1930s. You can see the Clock Tower in the center of Chester Avenue. The building to the right of the Clock Tower is the El Tejon Hotel, where the TV station was located when I worked there. You can see Highway 99 near the top of the picture with the Garces traffic circle.
